Skin Tone Finish Case Study

an alternative retail finish concept to informally address the subject of race

Custom finishes were chosen in this case study to provide an alternative retail merchandising opportunity. The subject of race and skin tone have re-entered the mannequin market and the state of current events. Clients, Adidas x Kohl’s, collaborated on an Adidas display that would reside inside Kohl’s box stores. The concept of shifting skin tones into tonally matched natural finishes (such as: stone, wood, etc) was introduced.
